Monthly Donation Scheme

The Army would like to invite you to become our Monthly Donor. A simple registration is all it takes to support our community services in a continuous and stable manner, so we could make our plans and services more effective and last longer – let us work together to bring assistance and changes to people in need in our communities.

Join The Salvation Army Monthly Donation Scheme, your simple monthly gift will help us provide care and support to the people with the most need:

  • Families facing Crisis
  • Disadvantaged Elders
  • Children and Youth
  • People with Disabilities
  • The Marginalised Minorities
  • Disaster Survivors

Commit to our Monthly Donation or, for existing monthly donors, invite a friend to become our Monthly Donor for three consecutive months or more to receive the gift of a personalised Victorinox Swiss Army Knife (retail price at $390). You can choose to donate monthly via autopay, credit card, or cheque. You can enjoy tax deductions with our donation receipts. The Army will send donors their receipts at the end of each financial year (every April).

Stories of Our Monthly Donors

Ms. Kong (Donating Monthly for 7 Years)

Living in the Yau Tsim Mong District, I pass by The Salvation Army’s Yau Ma Tei headquarters and its neighbouring Family Store daily. I often see many locals frequent these places to use The Army’s services and this made a great impression on me.

It has been seven years now since I first became a monthly donor for The Salvation Army. I have continued to donate all these years because of my Christian faith and also my observation of The Army. It has always been rooted in the community, serving local people. I am particularly concerned about the well-being of the elderly because the issue of Hong Kong’s ageing population is getting direr every day. Many financially challenged and singleton elderly desperately need our help and care. I hope that my monthly donation can help them practically. As I learnt more about the history of The Army’s founders, William and Catherine Booth, I gained a much deeper understanding of the charity and am more determined to help others.

I always believe that ‘kindness’ should not be just some one-off assistance. We should make acting kindly a habit that we practice consistently and make helping people part of our lives.

I have been keeping an eye out for the news of various charities. And by chance, as my son studies at one of The Salvation Army’s schools and I have volunteered at The Army before, its services made a great impression on me. This is how I began my monthly donation to The Salvation Army.

With its charity sales and in-kind donations, The Salvation Army has been known for being down-to-earth. I believe its services could help people in need in the community in a practical and timely manner. The Army is indeed improving people’s lives and helping them overcome challenges. This is my fourth year as The Army’s monthly donor. I hope that my humble donation could help more people in need.
