The Salvation Army Charity Orienteering 2023 is here again! To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Army’s Orienteering event, it will be conducted in the North District for the first time to raise funds to support The Salvation Army’s frontline services. Participants will be given a wordless map to finish a 2-hour orienteering, putting their physicality and team bonding to the test. Afterwards, you can enjoy the Newly Emerged Sports Carnival and Social Inclusion Handcraft Workshops with your friends and family. The donation from this event will go into supporting The Salvation Army community services to bring love and joy to the society.

Fee (2-4 people per team):
  • Open Class: $320 per person ($50 application + $270 minimum donation amount)
  • Family Class: Adult $320 per person ($50 application + $270 minimum donation amount), Kids (3-14 years old) $160 per person ($50 application + $110 minimum donation amount)
  • Corporate Team: $10,000 per team

Mölkky

Introduction:

Mölkky, also known as Finnish colliding pillars and wooden chess, which means wooden game. Mölkky applies the idea similar to the manoeuvre strategy in a chess game. Wooden chess has not much to do with physical strength and is suitable for all ages. The game does not require special equipment. The winner is relied on the combination of luck and skill.

Kubb

Introduction:

The objective of the ‘Kubb’ is to be faster than your opponent in knocking down the ‘Guardian’ pieces on the other side of the playing field and ultimately hitting the ‘King’ piece to claim victory. Participants must throw wooden sticks to knock down the ‘Guardians’ pieces by strategy. This game requires precision and trains hand-muscle strength control while throwing. It’s suitable for players of all ages, making it a fun and engaging activity for everyone.
