Christmas is not only a universally celebrated holiday but also holds extraordinary significance for children. The Salvation Army sees children as precious gifts from God and hopes that every child, regardless of their families or backgrounds, can experience the joy and blessing of this important festival so they can thrive in a loving and caring atmosphere. Therefore, The Salvation Army will once again conduct the ‘Share the Joy’ Christmas Angel Campaign 2024 this year. We sincerely invite you all to become Christmas Angels and share the blessings of the festival with underprivileged communities, bringing a special and amazing Christmas to children and their families.

We aim to raise HK$600,000 and solicit 8,000 pieces of new and copyrighted toys in their original packaging for at least 8,000 children from low-income families, sub-divided flat families, beneficiary of Comprehensive Social Security Assistance, of the School Textbook Assistance (full rate), or of the Working Family Allowance (full rate). The Campaign also offers different interest courses, day trips and visiting events for children and their families, sharing with them the warmth and joy of Christmas.

Christmas Gift Matching Programme

In this programme, we are calling for the public and the corporates to donate 8,000 pieces of toys in total. We will be inviting underprivileged children to fill in a ‘My Christmas Wishlist’. The Salvation Army will then match their wishes with the donated toys and send them their desired gifts before Christmas. It is hoped that at least 8,000 children through this programme.

The public can donate new and copyrighted toys in their original packaging to the following depots.

The Salvation Army ‘Carolling & Love Spreading Christmas Market

To celebrate the joyous Christmas season, the Army will present The Salvation Army ‘Carolling & Love Spreading Christmas Market’ at Nina Park in Tsuen Wan on 14 December. In addition to beautiful music to herald the arrival of Christmas, there will be a series of exciting performances, booth activities, and charity sales. Through these activities, people of different backgrounds and ages will come together to enjoy a wonderful weekend and experience the warmth and joy of the festive season. It is also hoped that the event will be able to foster an inclusive atmosphere in the community.
