From July 14th to 19th, 2024, a six-person medical team of Hospice Care from Nanquan Town Health Center in Shifang City came to Hong Kong for a one-week study and research trip. During this period, they visited the Salvation Army Hong Kong Headquarters and several professional hospice care service institutions in Hong Kong, such as Jockey Club Home for Hospice, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre, The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society Jockey Club Cancer Rehabilitation Centre, and The Salvation Army Nam Shan Elderly Home. They conducted in-depth research and studies on the advanced concepts and service experiences of hospice care in Hong Kong. At the same time, through case practical operations and thematic trainings, team members not only mastered more knowledge and skills in care, communication, and cross-team cooperation, but also learned the experiences of hospice care services in Taiwan and Singapore, which broadened their horizons.

This study and inspection trip not only promoted the personal learning and growth of the team members, but also strengthened the confidence of the hospice care team of Nanquan Town Health Center in providing more humanized, professional and high-quality hospice care services to patients.
