Praise God for an increase of newly saved people as well as increasing numbers of members and Salvation Army soldiers. 2. Praise God for well-attended camps for children and young people. 3. Praise God for a new session of seven cadets in August. Sweden- Prayer Requests: 1. Pray for our conference week at Torp with another church community/denomination in June. 2. Pray for the politicians’ week Almedalen in June, where we participate with many seminars and lectures. 3. Pray for our National Scout Camp in July. 4. Pray for the governance board in their important strategy work for the Territory. Latvia-Praise Points: 1. 3 senior soldiers and 13 junior soldiers already enrolled this year with more to come! 8 new sergeants (local officers) already recognised this year. Latvia- Prayer Requests: 1. For people to be saved and become disciples of Jesus, for young people to become soldiers, for more officers. 2. For our various summer camps to take place regionally and in the corps. 3. For the leaders and volunteers in our corps and centres. 4. For our young people who will attend the European Youth Event (EYE) in The Netherlands in August, that they will grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus and experience The Salvation Army outside of Latvia. |
| 27/06 | Chuk Yuen Day Care Centre for Senior Citizens Centre in-charge: Ms Alice Poon Prayer Requests: 1. For the elderly: Our elderly service users are getting more fragile, and their families face a lot of pressure in caregiving. As they have to work and care for their family at the same time, their physical and emotional health are affected. We pray for the health of our service users and their families, their families’ works, and to have a harmonious family. 2. For our staff: The centre is now understaffed and is undergoing a transformation of elderly care patterns. Colleagues are often physically, mentally, and spiritually exhausted. We pray that God will keep our staff’s physical health and bless their work, so they can be dedicated to serving the elderly and their families. May God also protect our centre so we can continue to serve the community and more senior citizens. |
