Famous Singers Perform Golden Oldies to Celebrate Christmas with Grassroot Elderly

(6 December 2019, Hong Kong) As Christmas is approaching, The Salvation Army, with the generous support of Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong, co-organised a Christmas party at The Salvation Army Kowloon Central Corps, celebrating the festival with over 150 grassroots elders living alone or together in the Yau Ma Tei District. Famous pop singers, Joe Junior and Susan Tse came to perform many classic pop songs, bringing back sweet old memories for the elders. Staff volunteer team from The Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong joined the singers to play games with the elders. All present were filled with great joy. They also gave out Christmas gift packs of food items and daily necessities to the elders to share warm blessings during cold weather.

About The Salvation Army Yau Tsim Integrated Service for Senior Citizens
The Service mainly provides support services to elders living in the Yau Tsim Mong District, including festive visits and regular elderly volunteer groups and activities, aiming to show the elders care and support from the community during festivals and other special occasions, helping them to expand their social circles. Among these activities was the Christmas Party jointly organised with Holiday Inn Golden Mile Hong Kong since 2009. This year’s is the 10th Party being held.
